Engineering & Manufacturing

Texas is one of the top states for manufacturing because of its valuable assets — a vast reserve of natural resources, premier research institutions, a friendly business environment and a skilled workforce. (That’s where we come in.) Manufacturing contributes more than $230 billion a year and employs almost 900,000 people, many of them highly skilled and well-paid.
Leading Manufacturing Sectors

Factories in Texas produce everything from massive turbine engines to tiny nanochips. The state’s job growth is fueled by three sectors: computers and electronics equipment, aerospace parts, and pharmaceuticals. Leading manufacturing industries include chemicals, petroleum products and motor vehicles. And the future for manufacturing in Texas is bright. Many prominent manufacturing companies are moving to Texas because of the lower cost of living, cool cities, warm weather, a highly skilled workforce powered by TSTC, unsurpassed BBQ and, of course, football.
